Dead mouse in hard top

Ok, this may sound ridiculous. I stored my hard top over the summer. Apparently, a mouse crawled in the hole where the washer fluid hose goes into the back corner of the top. Does anyone have any idea how to get into the hollow area of the back corner to get a dead mouse out? I don't know if it matters but it is a factory top for a 2011 Wrangler.

A clothes hanger or wire and a fishing hook.

What will you be doing with the dead mouse? If your going to eat it try to get it in one piece. If its already hard try eating it like jerky. Mouse is good eatin if still fresh.
Just be glad a skunk didnt get stuck in there. They are harder to cook and make taste good. Usaully taste like they smell.
Happy hunting
Ron

Geeeeez, does it still smell??? I'm thinking that if it is already dried up you can probably use an air compressor and I'm sure the pressure would disintegrate it into dust. Make sure you wear some kind of mask or hazmat suit LOL..... Let us know how it works out...

I am so elated that I am not the only one having an issue. I put my hard top on two weeks ago (2011) and it's been putrid. I literally just dropped it off at the dealership and on the way home did my own research. My odor is coming from the EXACT same spots as you. I found this thread, as well....I'm going to try it this weekend:

Sounds like you can drill the bottom of the top to flush it all out...

I called the Jeep dealer in Broken Arrow and the guys there had never heard of this problem. I did see the thread with drilling holes but I hoped there might be a way to just take the top apart rather than drilling. I've exhausted bottles of odor neutralizer and air freshener. I've stuffed dryer sheets in the openings. I've poured baking powder into the openings. Nothing has worked. I'm desperate enough to start drilling holes. Anytime I take the top off from now on will require steel wool in the holes before it goes into storage. Live and learn!
