clear coat bubbling/peeling

any ideas on how to fix a few small areas where my clear coat is peeling...the paint is good .......just the clear is peeling ...i was thinking about smoothing the edges of spots with steel wool ....real fine steel wool....then hitting it with some spray bomb clearcoat.....any 1 got any ideas or experience with this? also any ideas where to find some citron pearl touch up paint

Once the clear coat is faded, peeled or in any way separated from the basecoat it is time for a respray. you can't simply respray clear over the base. the best way to correct it is scuff up the affect area, mask off and color blend the "spot", of course re clear. From there it is sanding, compounding and glazing. As far as finding paint in any quantity go to your local jobber, mine is Albert Kemperle and they'll be able to find your paint. This is not a cheap or easy process if you have no auto body experience

I'd look into having the part/outer body resprayed, if its within budget. Usually if one spot is bubbling, more will be showing up before long.

Once the clear delaminates from the base coat, new base coat needs to be sprayed along with the clear.
