hey guys got an offroad trip coming up and my flare rub like mad (rustys) so i think im gonna take them off but need to fill in the holes. what should i use? would some standard body filler work?
how should i go about doing it?

Dimple the bolt holes slightly, weld the holes shut, and then use body filler to smooth out the repaired areas.

^^^^ agreed, but if you dont have the means, use fiberglass reinforced filler. Durglass or Metal-to-Metal work well, but nothing really designed for that type of filling. Expect it to pop eventually.

They make some pretty nice looking button head (half round) bolts with an allen head that you could put some washers on them and just put them in the bolt holes. Prolly even get em in black if you wanted.

nah i was more concerned about the flares themselves when i trimmed them they folded in (the flex flares they sell) so i made some aluminum brackets under the flare to keep them up and now it looks horrible haha

yeah i love having flares though and need them..had a fix it ticket and thats what made me buy them
