bed lining whole jeep

Bits of rust are starting to pop out all over the body of my 1999 xj. I'm curious about what u guys think of bedlining the whole Jeep?

I'm thinking of using the cans of rustoleum bed liner spray cans. I know people say to use the role on liner, but I'm not convinced. What have you guys done?

The rustoleum bed liner feels like sandpaper and mud and junk sticks to it and stains it. It's nice stuff but not great. I've used it before on my cladding and skids and has held up but i should have just used a better quality liner like monster liner which is smoother yet still has texture and is super tough and comes in colors.

Probably with a good brush though I could scrub junk off of it pretty good. But ill look into other stuff too.

I just power washed and scrubbed it to two days ago and I still had junk stained to it. If I wanted to do the rustoleum bed liner if try rolling it on to see if that changes the texture. I'm top coating mine with rustoleum enamil so it's not as rough anymore.

Your putting enamel on it to be able to clean it easier? Could you post some pics?

Are you putting clear rustoleum enamel? Or a color?

Cherokee95kid 04-07-2013 04:19 PM

Il put a black gloss enamil spray can over the bedliner . I'm doing it this summer cause I have no time or supplies here in college so it will be a while till I can post pics

If I was gonna do my hole jeep I'd do it right and use line-x. I plan on just getting everything black and the underbelly done once I get the money.

Isn't that stuff expensive though?

oaklyjeep10 04-07-2013 06:18 PM

Definitely more expensive than the bed liner at advanced auto but definitely worth checking out!
