Well i could not be happier with outcome of the Trinity paint that i got. I sprayed the hood, tailgate, dash, front fenders and windshield frame last night with great results and not a run one. My first time ever touching a spray gun too. I think that says a lot of the paints ease of use. I did think that the Blue Sapphire Metallic that i got would be more blue but it is sooooo dark that it has a purple-ish look to it. THE METALLIC IN THIS PAINT IS INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!. Enjoy the pics.

Norcalcj5, you did clear over an enamel? I wonder if it would be fine without the clear. Trying to get away cheap haha.

Hey PortcityXJ....I dont mean to jump in on your question but I went the cheap way too and dont think it could have turned out better. This is Blue Sapphire Metallic Single Stage with no clear no buffing no nothing and it is dusty in this pic too. Shines like crazy and the metallic is awesome!

No worries. That looks awesome. I know you said single stage, but is that enamel or urethane? Hopefully this XJ wont be my DD for much longer and strictly then a Trail rig so im leaning towards a single stage paint kit. just not sure of urethane vs enamel.

I cleared over tje enamel and i can see the diference. Its pretty glossy though by itself. I had a bit of orangepeel though so it helped with that.

Man, that blue looks fantastic. I have been reading the Trinity paint info and was thinking about it for my CJ7. I wanted to go silver which was the original color. I debated single stage versus base/clear but the single stage looks so good I will probably go with that. Thanks for the photos. Andre.

I've used there single stage and while it looks great, the metallic colors can be tough to spray for a beginner, which I am. practice before you spray your jeep, otherwise you'll have tiger stripes like I had. On the other hand a two stage in the same color will be more forgiving as you can wet sand the color before you clear coat. Either way its decent paint for the $$. Good luck!!
