All rusty under my jeep

Hey guys any suggestions on what I can do I am looking to do somting to my jeep all underneath my jeep is all rusty what can I do

Which Jeep,how rusty, how much you want to spend,are you equiped or tool less.

I have a 97 jeep wrangler se and I will spend up to $40 I have tools what kind of tools are u talking about

DIY wire brush and 1 gal chassis saver or POR 15 = $150 (much better)

yes por-15 its the best just get the flakie rust off with a wire brush then i use some prep all or dx330 to clean the area from dirt, grease and oil, then brush the por right on. por is like powder coat in a can!!!!!

I had the same problem with my yj, i used a die grinder with stone grinding tools, and more useful was an air chisel. With the air chisel you can get the pointy chisel and knock the rust off of the frame etc. I got my air chisel for 20 bucks at oreilly auto

just doont punch a hole through where ever your useing a air chisel, those things can get wild lol

Ya, that is true, i found that most of the flaky rust broke off when i hit it. Most of the metal parts i have found so far were manafactured thick enough that the chisel doesnt go through, some pieces were rusted enough the chisel punched through them. These parts i didnt hesitate to replace

wire brush, and some rust eliminator spray, it brings rust to a paintable stage.
I use it alot, like $6.00 a can. or if you feel frisky and have some extra cash, lift it up on all 4's rent a sand blaster and use baking soda, or almonds to do the blasting. and then use the rust equaliser spray.
