advice, smittybilt xrc fenders, corners,sliders

I have smittybilt xrc products on my tj.
They looked good for awhile, now they have been on there for approximately 2 years.
They are bubbling and rusting all over.
What would be the preferred DIY repair.
I am thinking
wire wheel as clean as possible, tape off from body panels, spray with rustoleum rust converter, and then roll/spray rustoleum hammered finish paint or posssibly rustoleum bedliner in aerosol

advice needed only want to do this once, they are the only things rusting on my TJ and I need to do something so I quit thinking about it.

Not a show jeep, but dont want them to rust to nothing

Use better materials if you want to do it only once. Sand blast the rust,epoxy prime and paint with automotive paint is closer to a 5-10 year job.
