Price: $1.00
Pros: very low 1st gear. ideal for crawling rough trails.
Cons: somewhat noisy.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: i dont know much about the transmission. it came with the jeep when i bought it used. it has over 72,000 miles on it and the only issue i have with it is that it makes a noise like the clutch pressure plate disengages hard and makes it stiff to shift into second gear. aside from that its smooth.

Pros: great improvement over ax 15
Cons: none

Comments: If you find a TJ with a 6 speed pick it up, super low 1st gear and a great 6th with power for the highway. my wifes TJ has this and we can cruise 80 all day on 31's with no issues, even accelerated up hills! (axles have 3.73 gearing). I love this compaired to my 5 speed.

Price: $30,000.00
Pros: A real granny gear
Cons: Somewhat noisy.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: Its a good trans, read up on it in the forums. The low first makes up for some gearing so you don't have to get gears right away when going up to 33's.
