Comments: You do not need to remove transfer case for installation. The transfer case on my rig had to have the shifter bar cut back to only allow 1" max protrusion from rear half. I believe this is only necessary to cut on a few NP231 t-cases.

Comments: after I added the lift my drive shaft was withing 1/2" of falling out. This fixed the prob. also helped stop the binding on the drive shaft due to angle. and with the extra travel its set so I can add more lift latter if i need to and this wont need to be changed. So I am very very happy. I will put it on every jeep I own from now on. took about 2 1/2 hours and i didnt have to take the transfer case out so that was a plusssss
