Reduce driveline vibration on lifted vehicles with this Heavy Duty Slip-Yoke Eliminator Kit for Jeep's NP231J transfer case. Transfer case tailshaft length is reduced by 6.5" on '97-'01 Wranglers and 4.25" on '88-'95 models resulting in improved driveline angles. Kit includes a redesigned transfer case mainshaft which is not only shorter but has an 18% larger spline diameter, a 54% increase in torque capacity.

Pros: Vibration is gone and my TC hasnt exploded like my last one
Cons: none
Recommended? Yes

Comments: After having a nasty vibration resulting in the explosion of my transfer case (and yes, it exploded in about a trillion pieces on the highway) I upgraded to a SYE and love it!

Pros: Not much to say, it works!
Cons: None
Recommended? Yes

Comments: Everybody with a lift should get a SYE. I didn't at first and had TC drop, which worked fine but I wanted to get rid of it ASAP. Advance Adapters SYE was highly recommended. Since the install I haven't had any problems; all the parts included seemed to be of OE quality or better. The install was pretty straightforward but the snap rings were the biggest PITA. The supposedly HD pliers from autozone are crappy at best so ended up using 2 screwdrivers to get the rings on and off. Also wear safety glasses! One of the old snap rings I was working on popped off and hit me in the forehead, would've really sucked if it hit my eye.

Pros: it does the job. Good price.
Cons: none

Comments: I was told by a shop I trust, that they are pretty much the same... so I bought the AA SYE kit when it was on sale. It was half the price of any that I could buy at a local store, since I live in Canada. So, I picked it up when I was in the U.S.

Pros: Great, Looks Good, Smooth
Cons: Wouldnt do it any other way
Recommended? Yes

Comments: Great, Looks Good, Smooth. Dont know how much kit was, it was a gift. Professionally installed at transmission shop, buy one in the first place rather than a T Case Drop, youll be happy with it.

Pros: SYE & rebuilt shaft all came from Carolina Driveline. These guys are top notch with high quality products for very cheap!!! Save some time and go there first!
Cons: directions were ok....could have been written for a more novice guy and I think about anyone could do the job.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I bought my kit from Carolina Driveline. Kit included the Advance Adapters NP231 SYE Kit and rebuilt custom length high speed balanced drive shaft.

Very complete, high quality high grade parts. The directions and pictures could be a bit better in clarity. All black and white makes it tough there, but very good stuff none the less.

Pros: This is IMO a must for any NP231J
Cons: none
Recommended? Yes

Comments: 32 spline output shaft is much better than stock, this is a must IMO. You don't have to buy Advanced Adapters but just get one for piece of mind.

Pros: Cheap, Straight forward instructions, Decent write-ups on the net.
Cons: Made in Taiwan, Vietnam, or one of those other countries that are not America.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: Save yourself some time and buy a stubby ratcheting 14 millimeter wrench (pretty sure it was a 14. verify with write-ups before you buy) to remove the very top bolt holding the t-case to the trans. You can make this swap by either removing the t-case or leaving it installed. I found it much easier to remove the case. It's much easier to reassemble while out. Especially if you are unfamiliar with the inner workings of the t-case. While you are doing this swap, you might as well change the speed-o gear. You have to remove it anyways and it's probably worth the $1.99 to correct your speedometer.

Comments: I used the kit in conjunction with Rubicon Express RUCA's to minimize D/L vibes. I still have some vibes at 0-10mph that we never could get rid of.

Pros: eliminates need for t-case drop
Cons: housing casting was off
Recommended? Yes

Comments: great product once you get past the vague instructions and troubleshoot the odd problem i had. the casting they used on the housing must have been off, when i finished the installation and went to test it out the shift rod was bottoming out on the rod channel in the housing, i wobbled it out with a drill bit and everything is kosher.
