New and improved design to withstand any abuse you can dish out! This tie rod is made from 1.25" SOLID cold rolled steel! Our old tie rod was a super strong 1 1/8" x 1/4" wall D.O.M. but the new one is indestructable! Each end is tapped to fit your factory tie rod ends for easy installation. We include jam nuts to keep it tight and wrench flats on the tie rod itself for easy adjustment without ruining the powdercoat finish! This is one tough tie rod. It is a great upgrade that you will appreciate more and more with every rock or tree stump that you bounce off of. A perfect addition to any Jeep, stock or heavily modified. Fits:
XJ Jeep Cherokee (84-01)
TJ Jeep Wrangler (97 or newer)
ZJ Jeep Grand Cherokee (93-98) NOTE: This application does not work on some V8 ZJ's. Email us for fitment guidelines.

**Steering toe-in adjustment needed after installation. While a professional alignment is best, this can be done successfully at home using a tape measure.**

Price: $70.00
Pros: Very Strong, Nice finish and Powder Coating, Uses Factory Style TREs, Great Price for a steering upgrade.
Cons: None
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I purchased this when they had a "free shipping" sale on every order over $100. I added new TREs to my order and got everything for under $117. I think that was a great deal.

This thing is huge - 15+ pounds for shipping. There is no way I will ever bend this rod. I really like the fact that it uses factory style TREs so that when I installed the rod and new TREs I was able to use my old TREs as spares. Additionally, if necessary I can probably use my spares to rescue anyone else that uses factory TREs and I can find replacements in any auto parts store in the country.

If I ever bend anything it will be one of the TREs, not the rod itself. I would much rather swap out a TRE and be on my way than to try to straighten a bent rod.

When I received the tie rod, one of the lock nuts for one of the ends was the wrong size. Bummer but mistakes happen. I sent an e-mail to IronRock and they sent out the correct lock nut within about two hours. Pretty great customer service if you ask me.

I would not hesitate to purchase other products from Iron Rock

Comments: Andy's work is exceptional and he's all about his customer. I bought upper and lower control arms from him also. Extreme duty without premium price. Definitely recommend anything from ironman4x4fab.com ....
