Price: $80.00 Pros: Prevent body roll while they last Cons: Extremely stiff, Bumps are almost painful, Didn't last long Recommended? No
Comments: I got these shocks with my lift, and they didn't even last a year. Initially, I thought the ride stiffness was due to the new suspension. Bumps were so jarring that I would actually avoid certain streets during commute because they were so uncomfortable.
About six months into my use of the shocks, I began to hear a clunking when I hit bumps at high speeds. After replacing a ball-joint, I found that the shocks were the main culprit because they were extremely loose (I could flick them and they'd move). Upon further inspection, I found that the lower bushings on the shocks (the ones that came with them) had completely worn through on the bottom, requiring replacement.
Roughly five months later, I took a couple high-speed runs down a dirt road (maybe an overall average speed of 45MPH over moderate washboarding). Driving home, the ride felt a bit funky, so I checked the shocks and none were leaking or visibly damaged. However, when I hit my first speed-bump in the city, I realized the extent of the damage; two of the shocks had crippling damage to their valving, resulting in a loss of pressure in both shocks.
The cherry topping on all of this is that I went out of town for a week and a half about a month after the previous incident. When I returned, I found that the steering stabilizer (also Rough Country) had leaked a substantial amount of it's fluid onto my driveway.
Due to the fact that I rarely got to take my rig out wheeling, the rapid failure of these shocks was disappointing.

Price: $0.01 Pros: Look cool Cons: Don't work Recommended? No
Comments: They came on my WJ when I bought it. Lift has less then 1000 miles on it and my Jeep floats like a freakin' crab boat on the Bering Sea. I can only assume it is because of the shocks. The lift kit is the Rough Country 4" lift. I am looking for new shocks as I type this.

Price: $100.00 Pros: good off road shock Cons: stiff as stiff can get Recommended? No
Comments: these shocks are extremely firm! to a point where regular bumps in the road that my stock shocks had no problem absorbing is knocking things loose/off on my jeep!

Price: $199.00 Pros: Very firm ride. Huge Cylinder. Much better then the stock hydro's that come with the kits. Cons: None that I can think of. Recommended? Yes
Comments: Have these on my 4" Series II kit with 33" Tires. I highly recommend them. Very firm ride, does not bounce around like the old hydros and nitro shocks. The best shock I have used from Rough Country.

Comments: Rough ride...put 500 miles since lift, still rough...stiff shocks! Maybe some added weight with bumpers/winch will fix this.
