The ES 1000 performance series shock absorber is designed to replace the factory shock and provides optimum performance enhancing driving comfort and vehicle control. To provide a superior seal for the S-924 high temperature shock fluid, a multi- lip, spring tensioned rod seal is used. Utilizing a 1 3/8" nylon banded full displacement piston head and double welded shock mounts, the ES 1000 assures strength and long lasting durability for even the most demanding of driving conditions.

Pros: cheap, came as bb lift kit. 4 shocks, dust boots, and came with 4x delrin 2" lift bb spacers and 1"transfer case drop kit, so cost per shock is about $20-25
Cons: Not as good as OE or HD suspension option stock units in my opinion..
Recommended? Yes

Comments: so far i havent noticed much different from stock other than more responsive. the units these replace had 75000 miles on them so hopefully these will last half that long. bilsten shocks in the future..

Price: $24.99
Pros: Much more forgiving than the ES3000. Very good bang for the buck.
Cons: Still a $25 shock. Not going to compete with a Bilstein or the like.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I bought a set of these from Summit Racing to be a temporary holdover when I went from a REBB, to a Full Traction kit. They were even better than the Doetsch Techs that came from RE. A lot of people confuse them with their rough riding brother the ES3000. I have ran them for a few years now and haven't worried about replacing them anytime.

Comments: Might as well weld a solid piece of steel between the shock mounts, it would probably give a better ride.
