Yes: 110 / No: 4

Some of the highest quality shocks I have seen. Brushed aluminum casing really adds for a great look and light weight. Extremely smooth ride even with the highest of lifts.

A+

Pros: Great ride! Stable performance off road!
Cons: None, So far.

Comments: I had Pro Comp ES3000 shocks that were on my Jeep at the time of Purchase. I could not believe how poorly they rode. I purchased s et of Bilstein 5100's installed and could not be happier. The Jeep not only rides better but also feels more stable and controlled on the road.

Highly recommended!!

Pros: Great price, great company support, great product
Cons: none!

Comments: You WILL blow out your shocks, regardless of who makes them, if they are compressed to less than their minimum length when collapsed. Some people complained about their shocks getting blown out, or leaking, or whatever. I know this to be true, because it happened to me. Not enough bumpstop spacing. Live and learn, I guess.

Anyways, I just ordered my second set of Bilsteins, as I have lifted my Jeep from the 2.25" spacer lift, to a 4.5" total lift on shortarms. With AEV springs, my Jeep is no Cadillac, but it rides surprisingly smooth, and I've learned from my mistakes, and have my bumpstop spacing coordinated with my shock length when collapsed.

My long term plan was to get longarms, but with the ride that I have now, I may just leave it alone...

Comments: I have the Bilistein 5150 series shocks on my wrangler. They have outstanding performance on the street as well as off of it. The shock does a good job at soaking up any road vibrations. It also has very good travel to allow your suspension to flex as far as it needs to.

Pros: great performance, on street and offroad
Cons: price per shock, but they were free for me

Comments: If you put these on your jeep, you will get a whole new vehicle. It can handle turns much better, and bumps are no longer a problem. Unsurpassed performance all around.

Price: $80.00
Pros: First Impressions Were Good
Cons: Short Life
Recommended? No

Comments: All four have failed after two years of service (less than 5000 miles of driving). They are not leaking but they make clunking and popping noises that are very annoying to listen to. Unfortunately I misplaced by receipt and no warranty will be honored. I purchased from Shock Wharehouse and they have no record of my purchase. They were drop shipped directly from Bilstein and they have no records of the shipment. BS if you ask me. Either way I'm screwed and won't buy their junk again.

Comments: These replaced a set of Skyjacker Hydros that were completely shot so it is hard to compare. That said I didn't know a jeep with a 4" lift could ride this nice.

Bilstein 5100 Series
Price: $215.00
Pros: looks nice, well made. barpin cast into rubber so it wont be clanking on the mount in a week
Cons: couldnt feel any difference in ride or control over bumps from the factory shocks. obviously the cost when you cant tell you put them on. not that my butt is a calibrated shock tester.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: front F4-BE5-D784-H0

rear F4-BE5-D785-H0

this is the part number for a factory replacement shock on my 05 rubi. it showed up and was 1 inch longer than factory, that doesnt bother me at all. they look nice, except mine came with the light blue boots instead of the black boots?? the body of the shock is silver zinc plated.

They ride the same as the factory rubicon shocks. there is no difference in the ride at all, it still stutters over highway bumps, the bilsteins dont control the jeep any better than the jeep shocks.

oh well.
