You WILL blow out your shocks, regardless of who makes them, if they are compressed to less than their minimum length when collapsed. Some people complained about their shocks getting blown out, or leaking, or whatever. I know this to be true, because it happened to me.
Not enough bumpstop spacing. Live and learn, I guess.
Anyways, I just ordered my second set of Bilsteins, as I have lifted my Jeep from the 2.25" spacer lift, to a 4.5" total lift on shortarms. With AEV springs, my Jeep is no Cadillac, but it rides surprisingly smooth, and I've learned from my mistakes, and have my bumpstop spacing coordinated with my shock length when collapsed.
My long term plan was to get longarms, but with the ride that I have now, I may just leave it alone...
