Price: $179.00 Pros: Great simple bumper Cons: none Recommended? Yes
Comments: Great simple bumper if that's all you need. I had trouble installing it but that's my fault as I got rear-ended years ago, and part of the bumper mount was slightly askew. They make a tire-carrier option for this bumper too but you can't "do that later" without a lot of work so plan well! I recommend getting the one with the D-Rings though I have a 2" stinger with a single D-Ring on it which is why I opted not too. Cleaner look and fewer rattles.

Price: $269.00 Pros: d rings, tire carrier, looks great Cons: hard to install, frame modification required Recommended? Yes
Comments: Bumper looks great and was quite cheap compared to other bumpers with a tire carrier. It matches my XRC front bumper well, accommodates an over-sized spare tire and gets the load off the the rear door. It also come with a 2" hitch receive so I can get rid of that hunky hitch under the bumper. It's a class III hitch, so its not tow-rated, but still great for accessories.

Price: $199.99 Pros: Strong and looks great Cons: Have to drop gas tank to get 4 inner bolts on Recommended? Yes
Comments: This bumper comes with stronger welds than the pro comp bumper. Also this model comes with a textured finish for longer durability. I would Recomend this bumper to someone who wants high approach and departure angles.

Price: $170.00 Pros: I needed a bumper with a receiver hitch Cons: Poorly designed, poorly fabricated Recommended? No
Comments: I bought this bumper because I needed a bumper with a receiver hitch, and I thought it looked like a well designed bumper. I checked it out on the Smittybilt website, and nowhere did it mention the gas tank being involved in the installation. Once I got the bumper, I found in very small print at the end of the instructions that, "Installation may be aided by removing the gas tank." Well, that's a bit of an understatement because you absolutely can NOT install the additional anchor points without dropping the gas tank. The welds on the bumper were smooth, but had many gaps and spaces in the welds. I do like the way the bumper slopes inwards, opening up the tow hook for easier access. Overall....I would definitely not recommend that others buy this bumper. I emailed Smittybilt with some thoughts and questions over 3 weeks ago and they still haven't replied to me. The reason I went with this bumper over fabbing up one of my own, is I thought Smittybilt would make a better product than I could design. However, in the future I'll definitely be avoiding Smittybilt.

Price: $159.99 Pros: Came with the D-rings, and adds new flare to an old yj. Cons: None. Recommended? Yes
Comments: Was surprised to find the d rings were included with the bumper, the front did not have them. The Built in Receiver adds clearance.

Price: $171.19 Pros: Good price. Heavy gauge steel (min) 3/16". Comes painted. All hardware included. Cons: Where to begin.... Recommended? No
Comments:
SmittyBilt Review.
I had finally decided to take the next step in the evolution of "Silver"( '06 silver TJ) and move away from the original draw bar style frame hitch to an integrated bumper hitch.
I chose the SB76750D which incorporates the chain connection points and a robust 1/4" closed back low profile design.
* The bumper seems well built for $171.19 (we chose to pick it up from the store in NM.) It includes D-rings and all associate hardware.
* The directions are straight forward.
* No welding or drilling needed.
This sounded wonderful on paper / internet.
Now comes the reality.... Funny how that shows up!
The vendor and the manufacture both claim it is a bolt on (NO drill) affair and of course it is not.
Upon opening of the carton you are greeted by directions that explicitly state you will need to remove your old bumper and drill four holes. O.K. wait a minute the advertisement for this bumper says NO drilling. You will also need to drop the rear half of your gas tank!
After you remove your old bumper you are then to use there template they include to drill the said holes. (I actually give SB credit for the forward thinking of the template done in steel and powder coat).
As I looked over the hardware I noticed that the bolts use separate washers and lock washers. This is a NO-NO! When you have to reach your hand inside a dark channel and the washers keep falling off it is very aggravating. &*^%$#$
The metal plates included are a nice touch except for the fact that the inside plates nearest the receiver portion do not fit the best.
The holes that SB requires 7/16" are in fact to tight on tolerance and it was 9/16" to line everything up.
I'm not quite certain as to what possessed SB to design the bumper with fine thread bolts which insert into the bumper rather than into the rear of the jeeps cross member.
Nor why they did not include a small frame tie in pint / plate.
The finish on the bumper is adequate but was already showing signs of chipping / scuffing and rust discoloration.
I tried to keep both the Mopar hitch and the SB bumper on "Silver" but the engineers at SB did not take that in to account when developing this bumper. Cant says as I can blame them, as most people would only run one or the other.
In closing I would strongly recommend that anyone looking for a new integrated hitch / bumper look elsewhere. This product is way to labor intensive and the manufacture and vendor were, well less than forthcoming with information on the proper installation.
For those brave enough to install this bumper plan on an entire day to do so and a lot of explicitives.
C.

Price: $145.00 Pros: heavily built, nice undercoated finish Cons: the finish is not good for displaying bumper stickers ;) Recommended? Yes
Comments: Decent price, good quality, not the nicest welds though. The finish won't chip off when you put things (like a bike rack) into the receiver, which means it's not going to rust.
