Price: $400.00 Pros: Cheap, durable Cons: Difficult instructions, holes didn't match completely and I had to drill out part of the pin hole, leaves a lot uncovered and doesn't look good Recommended? Yes
Comments: After getting everything installed and oiled it works fine, does its job for a fraction of what other companies ask
Price: $400.00 Pros: This bumper looks like it means business. It's very utilitarian (functional) like the jeep itself. It has an integrated Hi lift jack mount. The design flows with the frame making it look like it belongs there. Cons: When it came to installation I had problems. There are two holes that you are supposed to drill into the factory cross bar behind the factory bumper. It was imposible for me to even gain access to mark the holes let alone drill them. Also the hinge locations for the tire carrier did'nt line up (could'nt get the hitch pins in). So I had to drill the holes out a little. Recommended? Yes
Comments: I really like the look of this bumper and I get alot of compliments on it. It was a little more complicated installing it than I had antisipated, I never did drill the two holes through the cross member yet it seems sturdy with a 35" tire so far. It works well with the factory hitch in place. The factory third brake light goes bye bye with this bumper, but using the factory third brake light wiring I ran the wires back to the bumper, up the tire carrier, drilled a small hole for the wires in the bottom of the hub section of the tire carrier, and hooked them to a round LED marker light that uses a rubber grommet for mounting that I got at discount auto parts for like $10, it fit perfectly in the center hub of the tire carrier ( I used some black silicone caulk on the backside of the grommet to be sure). So now the centercap on my spare is a third brakelight and the spare comes on and off with the brake light unaffected.
