These Rocker Guards are extremely strong, with no loss in ground clearance. They run from flair to flair and are made of 3/16 steel and 1/12 tubing.
The lower panel covers under the body 4" on CJ's and 2" on TJ's and YJ's. The lower panel also bolts up under the tub with 5 mounting points.
The side bar's were designed to be used as steps while also serving as a high lift jack or strapping points.
The guards come in Satin Black power coating, and all hardware to install them.
Price: $1.00 Pros: Great durable slider, everything you would expect a piece of steel to be... Cons: None Recommended? Yes
Comments: I bought my jeep in southern cali in 2003 and these sliders were already installed by the previous owner with no zero dents or dings. I have been on Fordyce/ Eagle lakes with this rig and these sliders have held up nicely. They are only rocker guards though and do not attach to the frame whatsoever.
Price: $345.00 Pros: Good price and well built. Welds are very good, covers 4" of the underbody. Cons: Bolts are not countersunk in the side or bottom. Recommended? Yes
Comments: I originally wanted the poison spyder rocker knockers. Well at the time they had stopped making them so I went out looking for somthing similar. I finally decided on these. They are very well built, weigh around 50 pounds a piece. They cover quite a bit of the underside, some only cover 2" while these cover 4". The tube sticks out far enough to be used as a step, I don't use it for that but some of my shorter passengers do. Haven't hit anything with them yet but im sure they will hold up fine. I still prefer the looks of the PSC ones because the tube is a bit higher and they have contersunk bolts. But I am very happy with these.
Comments: I highly recommend these rocker guards. I know from first had experience that you can haul a Jeep up the side of a hill, sideways, by these rocker guards. All you need is a bobcat with it's forks dug into the ground and a 15,000lb winch.
