3/16" steel skid. Factory tank mounts to skid. No lift required. New model also has 1/4" thick allowance for the fuel pump area for earlier model TJs.

Comments: Heavy duty, direct bolt on. No problems even in the roughest conditions. Just make sure you have help when installing it cause it's quite heavy!

Pros: Very Strong. Easy to install.
Cons: Same clearance as the stock skid.
Recommended? Yes
Comments: Have an 02 TJ with RE 3.5" Superflex lift and 33" tires. Bought the Warn due to price. It does have the fuel pump drop which is a plus. After looking at the damage on the stock skid after a couple trips thru the Rubicon and other trails as hard or harder the clearance should not be an issue IMO, and the drop for the fuel pump has not been hit due to its location.

Pros: Very strong! Stronger fuel pump drop clearence in bottom.
Cons: hangs slightly lower than older design.

Comments: I had the older flat one (like the Kilby) and it was very nice (just cheaper). Then they came out and reinforced a clearence in the bottom for the fuel pump with 1/4" plate (even stronger). Downside is that means a slight clearence loss obviously since it hangs lower but... Ehh.. no biggie..
I've dropped the rig over 2' onto pointed rocks and logs using this skid, both on the old one and the new one. Neither one ever flinched.
