Product Information

MSRP: $180.00
Average Price: $54.68
Manufacturer: Warn
Yes: 41 / No: 0

The full enclosure design has a tight, 1/4" clereance between the skid plate and steering box to keep excellent clereance from the big rocks. It also means full structural rigidity when the rocks hit. Large holes allow for debris clearance without sacrificing structural support. Made from 3/16" steel and black powder coated.

Price: $1.00
Pros: Mounts using factory hardware, plus one bolt
Cons: None, I guess.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: Traded some manual labor for this skid. Mounted it in about 10 minutes. Seems strong enough.

Pros: steel
Cons: cheap finish
Recommended? Yes

Comments: finish comes off easy. wish they would bedline products that are going to get a beating. i tore out and replaced all the seals in my steering box which scratched the crap out of the skid when i undbolted it. Not a bid deal, but kind of disappointing.

Cons: Annoying finnicky installation
Recommended? Yes

Comments: VERY satisfied with this box. good powdercoating, easy overall installation, looks good, thicker than most other brands. Only issue was lining up the main nut, which is in a difficult spot to reach. Took roughly 1 hr to install.

Pros: Made well with 1/4 inch steal. This skid isn't going anywhere
Cons: nothing so far
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I love warn skids they are really beefy! When I first got it I was really surprise on how heavy it was. I don't think any rock can budge this thing no matter how hard you hit it. I haven't tested it yet but can't wait to.

Pros: Thick steel construction

Price: $50.00
Pros: Low price, 3/16 steel, easy install
Cons: I wish it was more open for easy cleaning.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: It's a good steering skid. I have never had any problems with hitting the steering box but I guess that is the point. Armor prevents these problems. 50.00 from Northridge is a good price for a 3/16 steel powder coated steering box.

Pros: Good fit and finish, works well with warn bumper
Cons: none

Comments: I have the Currie Anti-rock sway bar so I needed to be a little more careful drilling into the tube. Still only took a few minutes for some solid protection.

Pros: It was cheap, got it off the forums. No different than any other steering box skids.
Cons: None
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I think this is more for show than anything but whatever. There are a few scratches on the bottom of it, and my steering box is still there so It seems to be working.
