The Jeep TJ's coil suspension is wonderful, but it leaves the steering box very vulnerable to rocks. Our TJ steering box skid plate bolts on easily and only requires the drilling of one hole. Constructed of 3/16" thick steel, they fit well and provide serious protection for your vulnerable steering box....
and now they include our logo on the side!

Price: $50.00
Pros: Thick, slick and easy to install.
Cons: laser cut logo.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: Haven't tested this out yet, but it looks sturdy. It was a quick and relatively easy install. Remove 2 bolts, bolt up, mark for drilling, remove skid, drill, tap, reinstall with all 3 bolts. Pretty painless.

Not a fan of cutting logos out of the metal, though...

Price: $40.00
Pros: 1/4" plate. beefy. does its job fine.
Cons: its a basic piece of metal. cant really have any cons.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: real simple to install with the exception of needing a drill to create a pilot for the self tap screw. This screw goes through the skid into the front crossmember of the jeep.

Price: $50.00
Pros: Protects the jeeps worst design flaw
Cons: No cons
Recommended? Yes

Comments: This skid is a great investment. If you plan on going offroading, this type of skid is a must have. It's easy to install, and protects the steering box that was placed in the worst spot on the wrangler. I would recommend this product.
