Price: $200.00 Pros: Really Protects the underside of the engine back to the transmission skid Cons: Makes it difficult to change oil. There is a hole in the bottom for doing this and it lines up with the oil stream at first, but as the oil pan empties, the stream hits the skid Recommended? Yes
Comments: This skid protects the engine from rocks very well while not handing below the frame rails. After smashing in my oil pan, I decided that i didn't want to refresh my memory with another long trip home wondering if the oil pressure was going to die. The only real complaint i have is changing the oil. The stream of oil tends to land on the skid as the oil level in the engine drops. There is no real way around this with a skid of this nature and skid row did a good job of leaving a hole in the skid plate under the oil drain pan.
Price: $70.00 Pros: Great Appearance Cons: None Recommended? Yes
Comments: Obtained mine from Quadratec at a great price. 1/8 th inch steel. The silver color and "SKID ROW OFFROAD" words cut out of the steel give it a great appearance. I cannot speak on the protection guarantee with relation to rocks or obstacles beyond snow banks and thick brush at this time. Breaking her in slow..lol.
Comments: Obtained mine from Quadratec. The silver color and the words "Skid Row OffRoad" give it a good appearance against my red body color. I have not had to utilize the plate for more than snow banks thus far so cannot speak on its effectiveness versus the more forceful of collisions....like rocks.
