I have the 231, I hope you do too. Actually they offer a 242 version as well. Effective as hell! Must have for serious wheelin' You cannot afford to continously bash you TC. Spend the money. I guess anything is better than nothing. This bolts up nicely. You fasten into the subframe for some mounting. They offer drop bracket too.

Price: $129.00 Pros: Installs well with Rusty X-member. Cons: Perhaps not stiff enough to survive a moderate scrape without deforming, causing rough aliginment if you ever remove it. Recommended? Yes
Comments: About twice the coverage than the OEM Transfer case skid. I wish it had reinforcement on the sides. Accomidates the NP242.

Rusty's Offroad XJ Transfer Case Skid Plate
Price: $200.00 Recommended? No
Comments: Meh. Not great, not all that bad either, the engine skid was horrible though because the cross member bracket was angled incorrectly and wouldn't line up straight with the transfer case skid at the cross member...still doesn't, I just haven't had time to get under there and fabricate my own design.
