Price: $110.00 Pros: Strong and can support the weight of the jeep. Cons: Had to completly modify it, i think they sent me one for a ZJ since it wouldn't fit. Recommended? Yes
Comments: For the price I would say it is not a bad deal. It is made of 3/16" thick steel and can support the weight of my jeep. The powder coating it comes with is tough, however it di start to flake around the edges but has held up to everything from rocks to logs on the underside. I had to completly cut off the engd that attaches to the trasmission crossmember and redrill my own holes. Other than that it has held up well and I think the reason for my diificulty with instalation was that they sent me one for a ZJ. Hopefully if you decide to go with this skid they will send you the right one.
Price: $99.00 Pros: Excellent protection and great clearance Cons: None Recommended? Yes
Comments: I have both the transfer case and engine/tranny skid plates on my XJ both are excellent! I would recommend also purchasing their crossmember as well to make for the easiest install as possible. The crossmember can be installed with or without the 1" drop blocks. Installing this whole set without the drop blocks gives you an extra 1" of ground clearance compared to the stock crossmember. Although you will likely need a SYE some months after installing them this way.
