Pros: Stout, easy install, low cost/high quality product
Recommended? Yes

Comments: These should come standard with the Wrangler. Leaving one's box exposed like that is an open invitation to be blasted.

Comments: This was an easy install....even for me. I tend to make things harder than they really are and this install was easy for me. Where the steering box is located this was a no brainer

Pros: Beefy, simple install
Cons: None
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I had to add one spacer, but only because I made my bumper using 1/2" steel mounts. Good feeling knowing the rocks can't get to the steering box.

Price: $45.00
Pros: Cheap, stout, easy to install.

Comments: I had busted up the steering box on my old YJ so the decision to buy protection was easy. Like stated above for less than $50 it's cheap insurance.

Comments: I've landed on mine and smacked it in the rocks several times, no worries. Great product.

I've got some rust on mine already, but no more so than my Warn winch plate or the frame itself Salted roads are to blame I guess

Kilby KE-TJ-GBSP Steering Box Skid for TJ
Price: $51.00
Pros: A strong skid plus an easy install.
Cons: none
Recommended? Yes

Comments: This steering box skid for a TJ is VERY stout. Being that the steering box is in a vulnerable location and a mishap could leave you stranded, I figured $50 was cheap insurance. Skid plates are not supposed to be noticed, so when you do not notice the skid, it's doing its job by protecting. Kilby makes a great product.
