JKS Manufacturing MiniSkids

JKS MiniSkids are essentially miniature skid plates for the lower suspension arm brackets on the front axle. The clever design spans the front of each bracket to create a boxed structure for increased strength and integrity.
When properly welded to the axle and OE brackets, our MiniSkids prevent damage and deformation, and provide much-needed protection of the caster adjustment bolts and suspension arm bushings.
MiniSkids are laser cut from thick 1/4" plate steel and folded for increased rigidity and proper clearance of the suspension arms. They are supplied in raw form and require painting following installation.

My LCA brackets were already getting bent up. I was glad to find these. Installed easily. Painted them up. Banged them on a few rocks. I'm good.

Beefier than the Currie design. Just weld them up. Very solid. Good product like all that is JKS.

After bending one of my lower control arm mounts I decided to buy these for the new set. Now it's much stronger and I'm not worried about damaging them on the rocks.

What is there to say? They are welded onto the lower control arm brackets and provide decent protection. I just needed something to straighten out the brackets as they were being bent.

Installed in January 2007 and they have worked flawlessly since they were welded on.

They have held up great and easy to weld on. Beefy parts and simple.
