Skid plates are a must, and it is really nice when they come on the vehicle from the factory!

Easy to install. Already payed for itself a few times. I have hit quite a few things with it, but never anything too hard so it is still in pretty good condition.

I purchased these skids from a JY and they seem to do their job. The front skid acts more like a plow than a skid once you lift, which can be good for water crossing, plus it just looks good in front. With the front skid, xfer case skid, and gas tanks skid all for $30 you can't really say its not worth the money.

These came with my renegade and ive only had them actually make contact once. They were great. I was going through some brush and there was a log in there that I didnt see. They basically destroyed the log.

Price vs. protection, I think this is about the best value going. Obviously not for serious rock crawling, but for an occaisional off road jaunt, it will work.

Note: WJ factory front skid.

Would rather go with factory skids for the price than without. Some Liberty KJ frames and crossmembers do not have nutzert holes, or aligning holes at all so some drilling is often involved during installation.

It takes a beating. Not wheeling (yet), but when I'm working down under there and get frustrated with a stuck bolt it can sure take a satisfying whack

Front end OEM skid plate armor. Took off my wrecked Up Country '93 ZJ bolted on to my '97 Larado ZJ. Also my Transfrer Case skid plate, but I did have to add an access hole to the frame to tighten one nut through frame. Rear gas tank skid plate was a direct bolt on to the studs and bolts with the trailer hitch. Good home add on.
