Pros: Direct Bolt on, lugs are in frame.
Cons: None
Recommended? Yes

Comments: Front end OEM skid plate armor. Took off my wrecked Up Country '93 ZJ bolted on to my '97 Larado ZJ. Also my Transfrer Case skid plate, but I did have to add an access hole to the frame to tighten one nut through frame. Rear gas tank skid plate was a direct bolt on to the studs and bolts with the trailer hitch. Good home add on.

Price: $1.00
Pros: Does its job
Cons: Gets in the way, no easy way to get it off to work down under there.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: It takes a beating. Not wheeling (yet), but when I'm working down under there and get frustrated with a stuck bolt it can sure take a satisfying whack

Price: $200.00
Pros: Engine, transmission and transfer case factory skids are decent, fit as built and are priced right.
Cons: Not as thick or solid as aftermarket, coverage is bare bones - protects just what they say they do.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: Would rather go with factory skids for the price than without. Some Liberty KJ frames and crossmembers do not have nutzert holes, or aligning holes at all so some drilling is often involved during installation.

Price: $45.00
Pros: Easy to install, better than not having a skid.
Cons: Lighter weight than aftermarket skids.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: Price vs. protection, I think this is about the best value going. Obviously not for serious rock crawling, but for an occaisional off road jaunt, it will work.

Note: WJ factory front skid.

Comments: These came with my renegade and ive only had them actually make contact once. They were great. I was going through some brush and there was a log in there that I didnt see. They basically destroyed the log.

Price: $10.00
Pros: Definitely better than no skids, seem somewhat beefy for stock, gas tank skid and xfer case skid are nice, front skid looks good
Cons: Front skid seems to be more of a plow than skid (but that can be a pro at the same time)
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I purchased these skids from a JY and they seem to do their job. The front skid acts more like a plow than a skid once you lift, which can be good for water crossing, plus it just looks good in front. With the front skid, xfer case skid, and gas tanks skid all for $30 you can't really say its not worth the money.

Price: $54.99
Pros: strong enough to take most impacts. easy to install. nice product
Cons: it's from Jeep, so it isn't quite as strong as some custom fab skids
Recommended? Yes

Comments: Easy to install. Already payed for itself a few times. I have hit quite a few things with it, but never anything too hard so it is still in pretty good condition.
