Price: $0.01 Pros: Strong Cons: None Recommended? Yes
Comments: Hard to go wrong with a steering box skid. All the holes line up. It uses an extra bolt drilled into the front cross member for added support. It has worked with the 3 bumpers I've used it with. (stock, LoD, Savvy)

Gen-Right TJ Steering Box Skid Plate - SBS-2001
Price: $49.00 Recommended? Yes
Comments: Easy install, however one of the two front bolts did not fit. The mounting ear sits 3/4 inch away from my stock bumper. Just left that one empty.

Gen-Right TJ Steering Box Skid Plate - SBS-2001
Price: $39.99 Pros: Good price, comparable to most other steering box skids that cost $10+ more Cons: Requires drilling 2 holes, not one as the website says Recommended? Yes
Comments: Overall very good - requires drilling two holes, not one as stated on the website. One hole is drilled in the bumper and another in the tubular crossmember that bridges the front frame horns. Only fits through '02 though, so '03 and newer owners have to look elsewhere.
