About Us:

MacscoldAirIntake,

We started out in 2003 to develop a cold air intake and to provide clean cabin air for 1998-2006 TJ`s and LJ`s. After many years of testing in all parts of the US, Canada and Mexico, we have the ultimate CAI and Cabin filter system

If you need any additional information about our MCAI, please e-mail us at macscoldairintake@gmail.com. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

MCAI is 100% Made in America!

Thank you for your patronage,

Pros: Great Product from a very small company. The best customer service that I have experienced. I have documented the improvement in MPG gains for over three years. I experienced a conservative 1 mpg increase.
Cons: You can't be squeamish about taking a 3 inch hole saw to your firewall.

Comments: I wrote this on Sat Jun 12, 2010 5:36 pm. While gas prices have skyrocketed since then, it's more relevant today. I was running 35s and 5.13 gears. I documented everything by keeping notes and using a Delorme PN 40SE GPS receiver.

...........I've had a little to much time on my hands today. I have several heep mods, that are on hold, waiting on parts, money and/or solutions. I started thinking (always a bad omen) about this intake. I am an original "Mac prototype tester". Late in the development phase but, a tester none the less.

I can conservatively state I gained a mere 1 mpg with the MCAI. You have to keep off the skinny and properly maintain your junk to do this.

This past Xmas I split from wife 3.0 and started doing a 200 mile commute for over 4 months. I just did the math for 16 weeks at gas being $2.65/gallon. It was higher and lower during my commute. In four months I saved $505.49 with this intake. I could have gained 1-2 more mpg dropping to 65 mph from my usual 74 mph. H*ll, now that I've done the math, I should have driven slower and I would have had the money for some beadlocks

Comments: Absolutely great product with years of R&D before the release of the current version. Cleared out a nice area for my Premier Power Welder setup that's going in, picture of mine below:
