keeps the engine dry through lakes, rivers, flooding and everything else you can imagine. Highway ride is improved from the forced air as well (just a neat side affect)

Price: $300.00 Pros: Real cool air from outside. Help prevent hydrolock in deep water crossing. Looks good. Cons: Realtively expensive. Right side window frame can only be removed after taking out two snorkle mounting bolts. (this takes less than a minute, though) Recommended? Yes
Comments: Great snorkle. Remember you have to cut hole in fender to install. This is a permanent installation. Can be done by person with moderate mechanical skills. Don't expect to making creek crossing with with water over the hood just with this. Major water proofing of electrical and other underhood components will be needed for the serious aquatic jeeper enthusiast.

Price: $125.00 Pros: Very strong and well made. Cons: Is not designed to adapt to a '89 Carter carb. Intended to work for only stock factory fuel injection Recommended? Yes
Comments: Since I dumped the Carter BBD carb for a Howell TBI system, I had a problem making the Safari snorkel work. I had to find a TBI mounted filter/air box, make adaptors, and route the snorkel intake tube in a way ARB never intended.
It took some work but it turned out really good. I'm happy.
