Price: $200.00
Pros: Easy to install, solid construction
Cons: none
Recommended? Yes

Comments: When I bought my Jeep it had a tiny K&N filter that was attached the stock intake tube that was cut down to about 20". This was anything buy stock and I would bet that it was not adding to the performance of my jeep. A good friend of mine had this intake just sitting around (his jeep was stolen before he installed it and he bought a toyota as a replacement) so I got it off him for about $200. It was super easy to install (took about 30 minutes total) and the construction is solid. As for perfomance I would say it was a marginal increase if any. Im sure in conjuction with a perfomance chip/exhaust this intake will can really shine. As a replacment for a crappy intake or a shinier replacment for the stock intake, you really can't go wrong.

Price: $230.00
Pros: K&N Filters are the best
Cons: Stock Pipe
Recommended? No

Comments: The K&N filter gives a boost in performance, but the kit as a whole is meaningless, a better kit could be purchased at same price.

AEM Brute Force Intake (polished)

Comments: Awesome sound, can feel the extra power above 3000rpm. Only recommended if you can get a good deal as this kit new is over $500CDN, maybe best to mimic it with a homebrew.

Comments: It is AWESOME, sucks in a lot of air and the filter last for ever. Definetly adds power, great air intake. Also it looks sweet, in the engine bay.

Comments: I was very upset with this, It decreased my torque. I assume this happens alot when boosting hp. I still think I might get a K&N

AEM Brute Force Intake (polished)

Comments: Using it in conjuction with the Edge Trail Jammer kit. I chose the dry filter kit it over a K&N kit because of MAF sensor failure issues on my VW caused by oil used in filter.

AEM Brute Force Intake (polished)
Price: $160.00

Comments: The air filter is one of the best, no oiling, works better with a pre-filter in silty dirt. The polished tube finish is lacking but other than that no complaints. A little noticeable help in the throttle, no big increase in engine noise.

AEM Brute Force Intake (polished)
Price: $240.00

Comments: I like this thing, but for the money i spent on it, i dont think the gain is worth it. You do gain some HP but not enough. I should have just put a K&N filter in the factory box, and saved my money to regear.

Got this new on ebay.

Comments: So far so good with a notable result. Can't complain, you're going to want to prep the Power Steering reservoir prior to installing the shield as once it's in, the damn hose is buried underneath it.
