Comments: Performance is increased especially with a decent breathable intake. The sound is real throaty! Gotta get this if you're interested in just a cat-back.

Gibson Performance Gibson Swept Side Exhaust #17300
Pros: performance
Cons: see review
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I have the Gibson headers and cat-back.

I love the setup and the sound is awesome on the 4.0.

Previous reviewer mentioned the warning "this will not fit on lifted vehicles."

That only becomes a problem with tri-link systems. otherwise, you're good to go.

Now one problem I did have was that beefy tailpipe you get kept hitting my right rear shock. Have someone weld a washer to get the tailpipe up and out of the way and you're good to go.

great exhaust and the Jeep runs much better with it.

Price: $280.00
Pros: Made in USA, high quality parts, correct mandrel bends
Cons: loud, sound is "ok", not cheap
Recommended? Yes

Comments: Product is similar to Gibson 17700, posted in the reviews section.

This is a really nice cat back setup. It isn't cheap, but you get EVERYTHING you need. No need to buy clamps, etc., separately. All parts are of the highest quality. The included clamps are stainless.

My biggest beef with this is that on the Gibson web site says it WILL NOT FIT ON LIFTED VEHICLES. I called their tech support to find out why, and they couldn't really tell me. It fits fine on my lifted Jeep, although it comes close to hitting my rear lift shackle (but so did the factory exhaust). I haven't put on the included polished exhaust tip because I don't want it to get scratched up by the shackle bolt.

The pipes are a wider diameter than stock, which causes an interference problem with some shackles.

I'm not crazy about the sound, it sounds "ok." It is louder than I would prefer, but it doesn't sound overly ricer.

I'm a big fan of "Made in the USA" products.
