Flowmaster series 40 muffler, This is the most “aggressive” sounding street/strip muffler that Flowmaster offers. If you're looking for attention, this one will get you noticed. The standard 40 series has an “aggressive rumble" and will generally resonate inside the vehicle around 1800-2000 rpm’s, and again at 2400-2600 rpm’s. Constructed of 16 gauge aluminized steel and fully mig-welded for maximum durability

Cons: your gramma might get mad

Comments: People always ask me if I have a 350 under the hood. NOPE. Its a 304. These are great mufflers.
The American Thunder 40 Series is the most aggressive sounding street and strip muffler in Flowmaster's product line. The 40 Series will generate extreme interior resonance within the vehicle. If you want to really hear your exhaust system inside as well as outside your vehicle the 40 Series is for you.

Flowmaster Flowmaster series 40
Price: $115.00
Pros: Better Sound, Maybe better response
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I had installed a series 40 Flowmaster. Before install I could not here any sound out of the tailpipe while driving down the road. After the install there was a noticable sound increase. It was not the high pitch sound of the forign sportcars of today it sounded like more of a lower pitch rumble. Its not the sound of a v8 by any means but it is closer to a v8 sound than a forign sports car sound.

I did notice a slight power increase. It was enough to be noticable. I haven't had it on long enough to tell if there will be a MPG increase but I do not think there will be. I find my self on the accelerator a lot more just to here it.

It is a little louder than I thought it would be, but I will get used to it. In fact it has already grown on me!!!

just my .02
