Price: $100.00
Pros: Very loud and turns heads. Gets a lot of praise.
Cons: Can also attract unwanted attention, but that can be controlled with my right foot. Slight loss of low end torque.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: Could not justify spending upwards of $1,000 on a catback. Did a simple resonator (muffler) delete and I smile every time I start up the WK. Slight loss of torque below 2K, but this is not a race car. Pops and crackles on decel. There is a reason Jeep puts a 36" resonator on the 4.7L. My Jeep is louder than most everything I have heard. Pairs well with my K&N intake.

Price: $150.00
Pros: Flowmaster 40 series copy, custom bent high-tuck tubing, quick install, nice rumble, quiet when un-romped
Cons: gonna tear it up on rocks, unfortunately
Recommended? Yes

Comments: Replaced an aging MBRP exhaust that had come apart inside. Minimal expense, saved at least a hundred using an off-brand Flowmaster copy. Used this type on two other vehicles and they last forever (when unopposed by rocks). Sounds great, low rumble at idle. Really will open up when you rip the throttle. Throttle response quickened. *** dyno suggests improvement (over plugged up original muffler, so that's not sayin' much). Worth the money.

Price: $410.00
Pros: Sounds GREAT!!! Nice and loud. Best MPG and power I've ever had out of my XJ. Low end power has increased a bit.
Cons: Cops may not like the loudness
Recommended? No

Comments: Pacesetter longtube header, Performance Curve metallic cat, 2.5" straight pipe, 4"x18" slash-cut tip. I love the sound, and so does almost everyone else. Scares deer off of the road and alerts people on foot to be careful. Quieter inside than a GP dumped at the axle like I used to have AND I can see the tail pipe now, so I can watch for bad colored smoke. And it's clean!

I do NOT recommend it to everyone though. There are times I wish it was quiet, but not often Neighbors could call the cops, resulting in costly tickets.

Price: $280.00
Pros: great aggressive sound
Cons: kits don't fit that well. Needs to be tweaked to look good.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: aFe Power bolt on 3" catback exhaust didn't fit that well so I had to bring it to Lou's Custom Exhaust to mode it and that cost me an extra $80. If I was to do it over I would just take it to them and have them install one of there exhaust systems. You can youtube them they sound good. But other than that I love it.

Price: $80.00
Pros: Cheap
Cons: none
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I wish I could remember the name of the muffler I installed. It is a flat turbo type welded muffler. I made a heat shield to go over the cat and muffler. It's pretty long. The exhaust pipe is generic except that I cut a little off the end downspout. I made the cut parallel to the ground exactly at the height of the bottom of the pipe. I want as much ground clearance as possible and have had terrible luck with stock exhaust systems.
