Product Information

MSRP: $800.00
Average Price: $273.27
Manufacturer: Banks
Recommended?
Yes: 64 / No: 1

1991-05 4.0L and 2000-02 2.5L WRANGLER: Constructed entirely of heavy-gauge stainless steel, Banks Monster features a supersized, 2.5-inch tailpipe with a stainless tailpipe tip polished to a mirror finish. Banks Monster muffler, its straight-through performance muffler, is the industry's least restrictive. In comparison tests, Banks muffler flowed 498.2 cfm at 1 psi—a 139% improvement over the stock exhaust's 208.6 cfm, and about 44% better than the nearest competitor.
Monster virtually eliminates backpressure from the catalytic converter back, for more power and efficiency—and an authoritative, yet civil, exhaust note. For maximum results, combine with Banks TorqueTube system.

Price: $285.00
Pros: The sound! Easy installation Stainless pipe wont rust
Cons: No noticeable power gain.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: First and for most the sound is what turned me on to this system! I'd seen Youtube videos of it and let me tell you I was NOT disappointed. This (not mine) is almost exactly what mine sounds like. At idle and in a slow traffic crawl my 03 TJ sounds literally like a "monster" I Didn't notice any real power gain but in the end I was more just looking for a tougher sound. I'd give it three thumbs up if I had an extra.

Pros: Great, low key sound Little to no drone
Cons: None
Recommended? Yes

Comments: A great product. I installed in conjunction with a Banks Ram-air Intake. The packages together sound great... a fantastic addition. With both additions I noticed that my 4.0 felt like it had a bit more get up and go off the line and in the top end.

Pros: Sounds great, not too loud. Really easy to install.
Cons: None so far.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I read the reviews that others posted and it really helped my purhcase. The exhaust is all bolt on, no welding required. Definitely a do-it-yourself type project. Once installed you can really tell a difference in the tone of your jeep. At idle it grumbles, but you really can tell when you are driving at low RPM. It's not too loud on the highway and higher RPMs. Sounds great with my Airaid intake and Poweraid throttle body spacer. Outstanding buy!

Comments: I have run flowmasters on my last two jeeps and decided it was time to try something new. The install went very smoothly, all the parts fit nicely and were of a high quality. The sound is mellower than the flowmaster but still has a great tone to it.

Comments: I was in need of a new exhaust and after hearing the Banks Monster I was sold. Nice growl at idle that increases with the RPMs. Great at highway speeds.

Comments: Good buy. I bought it more for the sound than any gains. The stock exhaust didn't sound beefy enough. This one hits the spot though. Not too loud on the inside, but noticeable. There feels to be some gain to it, I don't have to try so hard to pass people on the highway anymore.

Comments: Great Exhaust, easy install, and great sound. Low RPM rumble and also sounds good a WOT. Exhaust tip does disscolor fast and is now just a brownish color. SS should hold up over a long time. Has to flow great because of the strait through design

Comments: Sounds great. I had a tough time getting the tip to stop hitting the stuff. It is a tight fit between shackles and the aftermarket gas skid plate.
