Price: $240.00
Pros: Price was definitely right
Cons: None to date
Recommended? Yes

Comments: Header was installed by Banks along with complete exhaust system. This is a real header in that all downpipes are the same length before the coupler. Finish (silver) is holding up really well and I expect it to hold up for quite some time. Header was normally about $480 but they had stock they were wanting to get rid of which went for 50% off.

Price: $1,100.00
Pros: Nice design, mostly spotless welds, nice increase in airflow.
Cons: Too expensive for what you get. Gets a bit hot underfoot inside the cab from the heat generated by the header.
Recommended? No

Comments: Tough one - yes there is a difference in throttle response, in horsepower, in fuel economy, BUT ONLY AFTER YOU INSTALL ALL RELATED COMPONENTS. I bought the Banks "power pack" which includes the header, the intake, and the exhaust.

I put the intake on 1st for a couple of months. All I noticed was a huge sucking sounds when I stepped on the gas - nothing else.

Then I installed the exhaust. It made a bit of a difference now as the sucking sound from the intake was reduced and throttle was more responsive and the "butt dyno" was awakened from the typical Jeep slumber.

Then a few months later I installed the header. My holey cow, what a difference. Sucking sound from intake: GONE. increased power, increased throttle response, increase MPH, increased guttural exhaust note = ALL THERE.

Still, was it worth $1100 total? NO.... but... now with *hopefully* the supercharger coming in it the airflow can be used up to it's potential.

Price: $425.00
Pros: solid piece, the performance gains of increased torque and horsepower compared with the OEM exhaust manifold.
Cons: time-consuming part of the install was the removal and installation of the intake manifold assembly.
Recommended? Yes

Comments: I bought my '97 TJ with a cracked exhaust manifold. As this is a DD for me, this was the first of a couple of necessary fixes to perform.

I didn't have the time/place to perform the replacement myself so I took it to the local Jeep dealership.

The sound is deeper, and the increase in torque & power was immediately noticeable.

Price: $375.00
Pros: Improved performance Lifetime warrenty
Cons: Expensive
Recommended? Yes

Comments: My header was cracked so I needed to replace it. I took my YJ to "Four To Go" service and repair and the price installed was slightly less than the Dealership quoted me but included a much better header for life!

The team there is awesome!

I did notice improved gas milage and performance although I bough the YJ used so I'm not sure what it was like prior to the cracked header.

Price: $495.00
Pros: Lifetime Warranty
Cons: Pricey
Recommended? Yes

Comments: This is a part you will eventually need. Unfortunately the Original Exhaust Manifold on your Jeep will crack. Cars just aren't made like they used to be. I recommend Banks because theirs is backed with a lifetime warranty. Now I was able to Install this product myself but it was no walk in the park. Would not recommend installing on your own unless, like me, you have some background in taking apart engines. If your experience is anything like mine this will take you a good piece of your day and the tools you used to take the old Exhaust Manifold off, example 3/8 socket wrench, will not fit with the new manifold. So have some ratcheting wrenches on hand your going to need them. Also remember all these bolts have exact torque requirements that must be followed or warranties could be voided.
