ZJ Build

Hey everyone, I'm fairly new to the Jeep world and I'm learning how to do it on my own. I grew up working on trucks as a teenager but I am having a few issues. My first one is the most common off all.. I have a 97 ZJ lifted 3 inches on 31x8x15s right now. I absolutely hate the skinny wheels. I'm looking to get 31s but not sure how wide of a rim to get. I had 10.5s on a stock zj and they rubbed but I'm wondering with this zj being lifted (and will soon have different bumpers) if 33x10.5x15s will still rub. Any tips will be appreciated! Thanks!

I run 32x11.5x15s on stock ZJ rims. I'm running a 4 inch lift on mine. To answer your question. It may be a little tight but you should be able to run 31s that are 10.5 wide. Youre most likely to experience rub on the front bumper or inner wheel well. If you change bumpers and adjust your steering stops (put washers behind them) you can usually cure the rubbing if it's minimal.
