It's looking good man. I think you should rattlebomb it. I did mine and I get a lot of compliments on it. There's more info on it in my build thread if you're interested.

Damn that looks good! I really want to paint my rig OD green but I like the factory green and I have no experience painting a vehicle. What kind of prep work did you do?

Hey if you were talking about my Jeep......thanx. I also have no experience painting a vehicle but I didn't let that stop me. As far as prep, I hit the panels with an orbital sander (220 grit) and then started rattlebombing. Couple coats of primer then topcoats until I was satisfied with the finish. I did use 1000 grit between coats to knock off any flecks of dirt or contamination. Then I wet-sanded before the final coat.

Yea im talking about your jeep. I was looking to do flat fenders and paint the grille, fenders, rocker gaurds (need to install), and corner armor (when I get it) black with the rest of the jeep OD green. Almost exactly like yours. You have good taste my friend. one more question, did you use any clear coat?

Thanx. I used a gloss spray paint so no clear was necessary. I use the high-pressure sprayer on it at the car wash and water beads up and runs right off of it. It's holding up great so far.

You should do it Zach. I'll be back in the spring so I'll be able to help out if you want.

I know I should do it. If I do it I will definitely take you up on your offer to help.

In other news I've decided to call my rig "ammo can" as my best friend called it an ammo can last night.

Hey Zach where did you get the regearing done? Did a great job with that D44! Did you replace the limited slip with a locker? Remember you saying that it was blown

Dave Halltrail from MJC did the regearing. I bought the gears and install kits at an offroad show. I still need to get my front regeared but I should have that done in the next few weeks. I did not lock the rear. I left it open. I will be running an aussie locker in the front.

Zach- Not sure if I'll have the aussie before then. I'm really not too thrilled by the idea of doing that in the cold.

Jon- I will be at the meeting. I will be bringing the TJ. But only if you bring the back seat lol
