YjCinner's Build...

I've been wanting to do a build thread for awhile...have lurked on here for 8 years, was off for 3 years and am now back on.
So...my thread starts as to when I first laid eyes on her...all those year ago.

95 YJ...Just spent a couple hours re-arranging this thread so all pics are in order as projects continue...

Too many upgrades to list, so i'll update as I go...

First I took a hair dryer to those decals and removed them.
Then added a new soft top, front basher bar and rear bumper, gave her a 2" body lift, added 5 soft 8's, black lugs and 31" Hankook's.

Then came the 4 cyl to 6cyl swap...The block is from a 2001 Cherokee and the rest is off my donor vehicle I picked up for $900, a '91 Wrangler, 6 cyl automatic.

I grabbed everything I could from the rear female seat belts, roll bar pads and all engine parts and wiring.

Long story short...catch up to today

Had a break up, the ex got the Wrangler in the split...because it was in the middle of the swap; (we'll now call her the PO) the PO let her sit at the shop for 3 years...then the PO called and asked if I wanted her back...hell yes!...$1K, she's mine again.

Though she is missing all the upgrades from before...

I picked it up from the shop (PO's family friend's shop so no storage fees)...towed her to my buddy's shop in Kenosha WI; introduced the old girl to her 91 donor...and my buddy and I finished up the 6 cyl swap...she also has tons of stuff cramped inside of her...spend 3 weeks, cleaning her out, scrubbing and getting put into it's proper place...

The 4.0 swap is completed...I use her as a daily driver...until she's returned to her glory, the only thing I'm wheeling are Chicago potholes, which can be gnarly.

Still in tact from my upgrades back in the day...
New dash (some one tried to steal the radio and busted up the dash, criminals are stupid, since the face was not in the jeep, they broke the dash to get the base...dummies)
Center Console (which will be replaced, it's too wide, but locks so i'll keep it for now)
Best Top soft top (Sunrider, but I need tinted windows)
Updated Steering Wheel (need an alignment)
Hard Top from the 91 YJ donor (Sold)
2" Body lift (still good, but up next is new body mount bushings, frame grinding and some POR15)

To come:
Suspension: 2-3" lift
Tinted soft top windows
33's, black rims, black lugs
Lynex or Raptorliner

First Issues to tackle...
1-Drivers side door latch quit working this morning...can't get in or out of the Wrangler...at least with the temps, I was inside warming her up when it quit.
2-Seems I don't have a washer fluid bucket or the hose...this is an immediate research and fix
3-Attached pic, the dash lights only work on one side, need to pull the dash out to change the bulbs and clean the connections
4-Attached pic, this is my temporary fix for the hole in the floor board...just is chilly!

Went out to check and looked under the hood and noticed I don't have a washer fluid bottle, pump or hoses.
Ordering those parts now...

Install the washer fluid bottle with 12V button, explore a "seems to be only at night gas leak/smell" and give her a bath & vacuum.

These are the plans:
Suspension: 2-3" lift
Tinted soft top windows
33x12.50x15's
Lynex or equivalent
Spent years on here researching axle upgrades, sye's, gas tank swap to 20 gal.
She just got the 4.0, 6 cyl upgrade and purrs like a kitten, so mostly cosmetic until it's warm enough here to dig deep.

I've read your build thread more than once...in fact, I'm addicted to YJ build threads...Chicago isn't known for wheeling but we have the Indiana dunes nearby...or, maybe i'll just scare crappy drivers for awhile. Thanks for stopping by.

Due to -20 degrees and slow shipping, the washer fluid bottle is on hold for a bit...this weekend, I ran up to the garage that houses my donor vehicle and pulled the spare tire carrier, then picked up a 31" used spare...managed to get it balanced and installed for $40. Gotta love small Chicago shops; also put the cover on the front frame too. Big shout out to my vinyl shop at work, the guys are hooking me up with this bad boy, to go with the hoodie my Mother In Law got me for Christmas...pics to come later, it's freezing here.

Since pics are key...Here's the $40 spare I picked up and had mounted, as well as the front frame cover I picked up for cheap also.

Still need to install that washer fluid bottle and sort of tired of jumping out and spraying the windshield.

More minor upgrades

Today...since i'm tearing out the carper in my son's room; I cut it up and installed it temporarily for the winter months to stay a bit warmer...it's nice an plush, kept the under padding also.

Also, put on the seat covers my In Laws got me for Christmas. What a difference they make.

I also washed her today.
