Hi,

Body is now paited twice, should work ....

Next step will be to build the fixing for the hinges of the CJ tailgate.

They will be fixed through these holes in the body. Afterwards they will be closed.

Cheers

Hi out there

the CJ tailgate is fixed, it worked as planned

The hinges are looking not being straight on the pic, but in reality they are

Here are the plates for the screws in the body.

Cheers

Hi AdamH07,

hope it's ok for you to post this pic . Didn't know exactly where I found it, but mine shall look identically.

Ordered the color this week, will be orange RAL 2004. Rest, as yours, black matt.

What tire size does yours have 31" ?

Greetings from germany

Hi out there,

did a lot of things today

Still everything under supervision:

During the disassembling I had to destroy both lower screws of the fender because of rust.
Now it was time to bring the new plates with screw threads in the body.
Therefor we adjusted the CJ fenders and welded the plates in the body.

Afterwards fabricated new pieces for the body and welded.

And my paket from my restoration dealer with the primer, paint etc. arrived today.

The choice of color is done

Now I have to go Christmas shopping with my wife

Greetings from Germany

Hi out there

something new: A build thread in a build thread

Have since a couple of years a 1:24 Monogram plastic kit of a CJ 7.

Did start to build it today and painted with the original color which arrived yesterday.

Cheer

what kind of paint did you use on the gearbox and transfer case? Is it high temperature stuff? or is it just regular spray paint?

It's a high temperature paint for motor etc especially. It's from duplicolor.

Love this thread! Your attention to detail is amazing. Can't wait to see how it turns out!
Also, can you take a video of the first time you start it up once it's all done?
