YJ Build

I've had the jeep for about 4 years now, started with a 2.5l 4 cyl and 3 inch body lift on 31's

enough chit chat, i know how much you all love pictures...

After a few weeks, hydrolocked the 2.5l and blew a rod out of the side.

ended up getting a 4.0/ax15 from a 98 cherokee that was wrecked and slapped that in

first time i've ever touched a welder

yada yada drove it around with the 4.0 for awhile, then one day blew out the front and rear axles (stock)

So threw in a HP D44 front, and D70 back.

here it is SOA, body lift was still on sat a little high for my taste.

Decided to do away with leaf's in front for now so did a 3-link front with 14" air shocks

quick trip to the metal yard left with broke with some 4130 for the lower links

Full bump

Estimated full droop(shocks not mounted yet)

here it is around ride height(body lift still on). shocks are also not mounted yet.

Axle is about 5 inches forward.

Testing out the bucket seats

I had to leave town for work so I took the body lift off and trailered it up to my buddy ernies where he will mount the shocks, link the rear, and do the roll cage.

So as of right now hes going to wrap up the cage, finish shock mounts up front, and link the rear end.

few more of the cage quality, main portions of the cage are all 1 3/4 .120 wall dom, all the gusets and braces will be 1 1/2" .090 to save weight.

Nice build man! Wish I could link my jeep and run air shocks.

Are you planning on using the stock front shock towers as your air shock mounts?

Nope, i just stuck a bolt through there to get it sitting so i could trailer it.

An no airshocks for me, I just had those sitting around on used them for mock up purposes, running 16" coil overs rear and 14" front.
