Oh good, I was thinking if there was any way to screw up the sound of an American made v8, that would be it.

I've never been poor, only broke. Poor is a state of mind. Broke is a condition brought on by Jeep ownership and a heavy right foot.

Had you thought about using the Novak trans adapter? It is $600+ and it replaces the output shaft on the trans. I wouldn't use it but if you get stuck and cant find a 4wd 4l60 trans its an option. What did you end up paying for your manifolds? Them ****s arent cheap to ship!

As I've said before, I hate wiring. What would be the correct way to hook up my new fuel pump? Of course the pigtail is different than the old sending unit. Do I need to order the correct pigtail and run new wiring , one up to the fuel guage and one to a newly installed fuel pump relay? I'm pretty sure there were only 2 wires...

I also need some more opinions on fuel lines. I get some conflicting ideas. I have the hard lines from the Vortec down to the xfer case area. My stock lines are all good so my idea is just to connect them and put a filter in where they meet. The easiest thing would be to use fuel injection hose and hose clamps. Will that hold up to the pressure? Would I need a double flar? single flare? A guy at Summit recommended using regular brass compression fittings for plumbing (ferrule and nut). Will it be easy enough to find a fuel filter with those threads? I'm looking for low cost and ease of maintenance/filter replacement.

You could just hard wire it, or get a weather pac connector to make it easier when you drop the tank, or cut one off a YJ at the junkyard.

You don't necessarily need a fuel filter. The Jeep fuel pump has one built into it. If you do want to run one, you can get a compression fitting that has an AN fitting on the other end, then just get a FI rated fuel filter, and go AN-to compression fitting again. For your rubber hose make sure it's rated for ethanol fuel and FI fuel pressure.

I'll try to find that fitting on Summit. So a fuel filter with -6 fittings should be pretty common? I'm wondering what the fittings are like on the Silverado filter. If I remember correctly they are threaded. Pardon my fuel system ignorance

I thought YJ fuel lines are 5/16" supply and 1/4" return?

No sir. I havent measured but mine appear to match up to the Chevy lines. Even if my supply is only 5/16 ill need to run a new 3/8 from the tank to get enough volume.
