I put the new fuel pump in tonight and it is very quiet! So relaxing driving it without the pump blaring in your earhole. Just in time for a wheeling trip this weekend.

Ha. Thanks buddy. It almost made me regret doing the cell, glad it was just a $60 pump from Amazon. However the cell makes it so easy to pull the pump. It took me about 45 mins to get done and I had to fix the plug cause I pulled a wire out.

Yeah I hope my new inline pump works well with my injection system lots of guys on pirate have had great sucess with it.

With the dimple mod on my tank I didn't want to have to figure out how to make it fit. Plus this ford pump I got is only $35 and lots of guys say it works good so we shall see. Ive heard all the horror stories with the inline pump burning up cause you need the gas surrounding it to keep them cool but I'm willing to try it.

My understanding is that submersible pumps are cooled by surrounding fuel but inline pumps are designed where that isn't necessary. But at that price point you can always throw a spare in the tool bag.

Well I think I made up my mind, I am going to link the rear with my stretch. I've been putting off work today just reading everything I can here and on Pirate. I got to thinking "why not do coilovers?" with the work I'm gonna have to do for spring buckets, and I was thinking about outboarding my springs anyway. I've found sets of C/Os on Pirate for around $500. To me that isnt bad considering what I would pay for spring buckets, springs, shocks etc. I have a ton more reading and figuring before I start not to mention saving some money. Any suggestions are welcome! I'm still new to this linking thing...

Sweet its not really as hard as some make you believe. I like leafs in the rear personal preference though but I think with a v8 axle wrap is inevitable and linking it cures that problem. I want to link the front of mine as soon as I can locate a desirable front axle.

The more I read the more muddy the waters get. "make sure you do ___ or ____ is gonna happen" it just seems like it all conflicts. I've been looking at kits like the Genright one, which would make it much easier but I'm not paying $1200 for it. I can get tubing from Maertz and order bungs/joints etc but its the geometry/brackets that I am concerned about. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna go with a single triangulated setup.

Like you said axle wrap is a big part of it too. Even SUA I am getting a bit. By the time I did a stretch with leafs, anti wrap bar and everything I don't think links will be much more work and I'll be much happier in the end.

In other news, my guy hasnt finished drilling my tubing for the 2nd time, but he said it will be done by this weekend. All I have to do is drill out my knuckles and pitman arm and I can get my new steering setup in.

If you took geometry in high school you will be able to figure it out, most guys on pirate lead you to believe you need a degree in astrophysics and know the properties of dark matter, and dark energy to be able to link your jeep. Now I have never done link suspension but I do know it doesn't take rocket science to figure it out.
