Yea I've been running them unbalanced for awhile they vibrate just a little. On a long trip you can feel the balance shift since it'll shimmy at 50mph at one point and other times be smooth to 75mph. Once the flat spots are gone after 15minutes or so of driving they smooth out for me. I've been meaning to throw some BB's in them but haven't had time to break the beads. I run 15psi street and 3-5psi wheeling on 15x8's no beadlocks. I feel the tires dont even start working till single digits.

Can't go wrong with heim steering I run a similar homemade setup and only bent a shank cause I smashed a rock going fast (bent the solid 1.75" tie rod too).

Randon, how did you address the power steering HP hose. Just curious. Coming a cross some of the differences between the 08 LS Im finishing up and the 01 LS I'm doing now in the black Betty jeep.

I just reused the jeep lines. I was surprised to find that they threaded right in to the GM pump.

What do you think of the Ruffstuff heims? That's what I was planning on using...

Yeah they thread in, but the 01 ps pump port is in the front and the stock tj lines are bent in such a manner that I don't like the final position of the hose. Just curious on the yj.

The 08 (port in the back) and jeep lines mated and aligned with a dam near perfect result.

And from what it have read ruff stuff has good ones and inexpensive ones iirc. Do some quick research.

I honestly haven't ordered anything lately regarding hiems. I'm supposed to be getting a high steer project soon and will be researching again to refresh my choices.

I take that back. I just went out and looked and I think I used the YJ high pressure line, but the pump has a built in line for low pressure with the GM clamps to a soft line, so I used that up to the hard line coming from the YJ gear box.1384582336667.jpg1384582369600.jpg

****... Your port is in the back too like the 08's. wtf is the story with this ps pump? Think it is about to get swapped. Idk why it has the hp port pointing forward other than it had a sensor off the back in it for some reason. Maybe I'll take a deeper look tomorrow and see if it's removable..idk.

Maybe a JY ps pump is in order and the best resolution.

That's odd. Maybe it is a replacement and they built it different? Mine is OE as far as I know. Unless someone changed it before I bought it at 70k. I wouldn't think the brackets would be different or anything if you found the pump that you need.

I've never had good luck with JY PSPumps. Seems like everyone I get squeels and whines. I'd say go new if your gonna spend the $$. They're <$100 iirc

I dropped the tank but didn't get to welding my access panel back in. I thought I'd be Ok leaving 1/4 tank in, but my stupid exhaust was in the way so the drivers side had to drop all the way down first. I didn't think it was smart to weld over a couple gallons of gas on the floor.

Looks like your making progress buddy. Can't wait to see it done!

Regarding the ps pump on my 5.3. It appears under closer examination... That the sensor adapter can be removed and the forward facing port with it as well, leaving a stock rear facing port. I will mess with it tomorrow. Thanks again for the reference pics man I appreciate it.

Hope you get it figured out. Worst case scenario maybe pick one up for a 99?

I'll check on my old overflow bottle. When I sold my old engine I gave the guy a bunch of crap with it but I'll look around the garage.

Got my access hole patched back in on my lunch break. Welding it in was a PITA.
My fittings should be in tomorrow so the fuel cell should follow shortly.
