i'd buy the reamer and do the GM tre's if i was in that situation. id do them flipped for sure as long as everything clears. probably the most cost effective way to go to go about it with the most practical benefits for the money.

tried to send this earlier but didn't go through... id say yes. reduce angles on your steering is always good in my book. better when your flexing if your starting at 'neutral.' if you are addressing/replacing the steering anyways.. I would do it if it was me.

I put up some progress pick of the silver 5.3 project... made a little.

be on the look out for a little box. sent it out USPS today. they said Friday.. we'll see.

good news, the auto trans and 241c have the same spline count.. was alittle curious.

I don't know how much room ill have for high steer. Since i'm only on 3.5" springs in the front I have a feeling it will be tight. I think all new steering flipped OTK will make it much more pleasant to drive.

Thats awesome man, I was checking out the build thread and your pics. Thats one thing I havent done to my Jeep, remove the tub. I think I have pulled every single bolt besides the tub bolts

I'll be looking for the package, you know I'll be repping you in the Southwest!

sorry if I wasn't clear buddy, I wasn't talking going high steer 'high steer.' just agreeing on going OTK/flipping it if you have the room to do that.

you should pull those tub bolts and re-install them to feel complete...

hell yeah!!!! sport them' buddy.. sent you an extra, keep for yourself or give it to a friend.

For you LS guys, I have been curious about something. In regards to hp/tq specs for these engines, I think when they first started out in 99 (mine) they were rated at something like 285/300. Then a couple years later, and varying from truck to Tahoe/Yukon they went up to 295/310 and so on. Even the Chevy Colorado with a 5.3 is rated at 300/325 i think. What is the difference? Just the PCM tune from the factory? Shouldnt all gen 3 5.3 be the same mechanically except for the Aluminum block L33s?

The L33 (and IIRC all the AL block LS truck engines) had flattop (higher compression) pistons and different cams.

I know a cam swap can really wake these motors up. There is power in the tune though.

I haven't done any wheeling lately or any more work on the Jeep. Im gonna get the 233 from my buddy this weekend so hopefully I can get the new skid installed soon. I have a friend with some 35" Maxxis that I can get for cheap but he works out of town so its hard to get a hold of him. It will look sweet with some bigger meats

The wheels have already been turning in my brain Was thinking fuel cell and 4 link in the back with a 4-5" stretch. I dont know much about coil suspension though. How would you set it up? Arms couldn't be too long because I need my belly up high.

I'm at dinner but ill add more later. Long arming and stretching is a project but it isnt bad at all. "Tentatively" I am going to be starting my shop tj build next week. I am going to long arm stretch and do Fox air shocks on all 4 corners, cheaper than coils. Going to comp cut the rear and run 37s.

It truly is fairly easy to do, time consuming it can be young Jedi. You order All the brackets from artec, joints from Gerald and shocks from downsouth msprts. Couple sticks of Dom... Done ...lol. Only if right !!!!
