I read that it was just an electronic shift case as well. Being that his Blazer is a 94 hopefully the bearings will be the same size. I think I'll offer him $100 for it. I was trying to compare different parts lists and for some reason it seems that the 233 only has the 1" chain. I will see when I tear it down!
ok buddy.... picked up the np241c transfer cases this evening. hmmm one has red fluid one has brown that i found when i set it on the ground. oh well they are both going to be torn down and rebuilt.
the np241s have 6 gear planetaries and the wider chain... research research, 'they' say you can put the 241 stuff in the 231.
supposedly i can pull the shaft and tail cone off a dodge 241 and eliminate the slip yoke feature and quite a few inches. think im still just going to get the SYE kit from JB with the GM VSS in it.

I've never been poor, only broke. Poor is a state of mind. Broke is a condition brought on by Jeep ownership and a heavy right foot.

So after driving it to the lake this weekend, which was awesome, it is so nice to have extra power when cruising at 70, I think I need to deal with my steering pretty soon. My buddy was selling his YJ a while back so I swapped my stock setup for his Rugged Ridge HD. I think the rod ends were pretty worn already, but there is definitely some slop in there now. I was thinking about ordering new ends, but I want to flip it over the knuckle too so I might as well just start from scratch. Any thoughts? I have seen several kits with Gm 1 ton rod ends and I'll just buy a reamer. Most of you are TJ guys but any insight would be appreciated!
