I haven't figured it out but I had a couple more thoughts to bounce off of you guys. Is it a possibility that my tank strap on that side is too tight so it trying to collapse in the middle? I didnt even look at the tank straps when I had it down. Do the straps even have any adjustability?

The other thought is, what if the damn sending unit is just too long? It is made by Crown by the way. As far as I can tell from reading a ton of threads there is no difference in YJ poly tanks except for the vent hose for 15/20 gals and maybe a baffle at the bottom. Without a baffle I would think that I have even more room. This is driving me nuts. For how much I paid Novak for this it should drop right in and I should be driving it!!!

F me in the A. The more I think about it the more I realize there is no way around it. Im gonna order a new fuel tank and send the new pump and sending unit back to Novak. Im sure they will charge me if I send the old one in. Ill just have to replace the small piece of fuel hose.

For you yj guys, any chance you have the length for your sending unit, from the mounting surface to the bottom edge of the sock? Mine is a hare over 10 3/4".

Thats alright man. Im checking one more place locally then ill order it. I got the pcm mounted to the firewall and got the tunnel cover on and the Lokar shifter boot. Im gonna wait on the t case boot until I tack weld the shifter rod in. The rod keeps rotating in the clamp, im not too happy with the Novak shifter.

Dave at Novak is pretty awesome. I called to talk about my issue and even though it is my fault he will take back the replacement sender and let me use their shipping label. He said that he has never heard of the tank problem that im having.

Sorry you are having such a *** time with your tank. Bummer on finding the pinched line... Put a fuel cell in the back and run a TJ pump/sender and my awesome new few fitting and call it done lol!!!!

I picked up the YJ on Thursday. We had to manhandle the dana 60 and 14b out of the guys ex wifes garage, Down the drive and up on the trailer.... What a *****. Still sore.

Been getting my bracket order together and trying to find rhe best price/place to get h1 wheels, centers etc. Thinking double triangulated rear and 3 linked front, 14" air shocks all the way around. For fuel system.... Yessir!!! RCI fuel cell In the back, think i want to skip the headaches you have had. lol The jeep Came with a front sport cage in a box so ill have get that in and then bend up some more tube for the rear.

The PO bought a flat panel dash for the YJ. Makes it look like a CJ... Kinda cool but its a YJ. Guess I'm weird like that.

I have this self set goal of getting this project together so I can be wheeling weekend of June 8th... Maybe you'll have your fuel system all hammered out by then... Lol!!!!

I've never been poor, only broke. Poor is a state of mind. Broke is a condition brought on by Jeep ownership and a heavy right foot.

Post some pics of that YJ!

I actually got out and wheeled pretty good today. Me and my girlfriend met up with some friends in New Mexico. The Glade Run area is like a mini Moab. Ill try to post some pics but the forum has been gay about it lately. She ran awesome, I even out wheeled his rig on 37s but one of his outer shafts was broken from his last trip to Moab. He thought it was just the hub.
