I talked to Lokar and got the shift arm figured out. To get a little more clearance I should have seen that I needed to put the button head bolt in from the back side, not the nut. That is still ot quite enough clearance so they told me to bend the shift arm out a little. I have another issue though, my t case shifter bracket. The shift arm should be at about 4:30 in park, but my bracket only lets me come up to the 5-5:30 area. It may have issues going into first gear. Any Ideas? would one from an ax15 equipped wrangler give more clearance? I must be retarded because I still cant figure out exactly how this bolts on.

Yeah I probably can. May have to take out a couple square inches. Ive been grinding quite a bit to make all this fit so I'm a little hesitant to take off any more metal than I need to. Any idea how the AA bracket bolts up? the only pics they show on the instructions are of the outside, not the trans side. My shifter also looks different than the one that they show from the Pugeot and ax15. I only have 1 or 2 studs from the t case that arent holding anything else. I needed to trim the trans mount because I couldnt fit that and the t case shifter bracket on it, the studs are too short. Putting the damn motor in was easier than these shifters

Yeah I found out how to do the shifter using the Factory shifter and a b&m shifter cable. From what I have read works great and the factory "gating" on the tj shifter works well with the 4l60e. The only thing is that (2) would be 3rd and (1) would be 1-2 on the trans. You can use a Cherokee shifter, which have different "gates" and get all the spots

Haha there you go, you dont have a choice. If I had my damn parts I would be up and rolling with the quickness. Get it done as fast as you can. I wish my budget had room for an Atlas!

Very cool... Ill get the info later tonight. Yes it will work with a gm 241. The 241c and 231c are the same case family, just different internals.

Honestly I am going to spend some time and $$$ with my CNC guy and the adapter you have. I'm excited about what we may just be able to make happen.

I decided I want to have a ls/gm install kit available that covers the main issues: fuel, shifting, exhaust, trans/tcase application, motor mounts, VSS, trans mounting and wiring. Going to start with the 97-04 TJ. Already have parts in r&d as I spent an hour at the Cnc shop today!!!!

That would be awesome man. If it was affordable it would beat trying to source parts.

Aside from my 4.2 trying to roll on top of my legs while on the creeper it was a good night in the garage. I dont have good luck keeping my engines upright Between grinding on the t case shifter and bending the shift arm in the vise I got it all hooked up. I still dont know how that AA bracket fits but ill call them tomorrow.

forumrunner_20130328_221511.jpg

My shifter looks more like the ax15 than the pugeot

forumrunner_20130328_221553.jpg

looks like 4:30 to me. And thats with the trans lowered a bit

hey watch the toes.. keep your engine upright dude im gonna have to call them out on the radiator!!

so eddie is still working with his girl to see if they can buy the new jeep from me. they got into an argument over something totally unrelated and she said she didn't want to go to the bank anymore. he said ok without a fight... then 10 minutes later she was mad they didn't go.... WTF.. females. gotta love em.

yeah i think it would be reasonably priced and totally convenient to be able to get all the parts in one shot. im thinking of including the main pieces, including [2] custom ones im working on and a list of finishing parts that 'work.' the cnc guy is going to make me some LS motor top covers milled out with the logo and stuff... man i get giddy in his place. so much cool stuff and he and i work well together. i suggest something , then he says this. i say that and then we have this awesome 3d rendering of it on a computer screen

ps my headers showed up today but the mailman decided that they were too heavy to deliver so i have to go get them tomorrow. they ended up being $85 shipped. got the shock mounts for the hemi tj so once those are on, we can cruise that puppy to the shop for finishing touches.

hey while im thinking about it.... do you, or anyone else here, have a spare yj fuel sender/pick up assembly i could have for R&D on a designing a 'drop-in' intank EFI kit for it? Also i would need to know the depth of the YJ tank to the mounting surface of the sender plate.

sorry your having problems with the adapter.
