Well fellas, I saw the donor vehicle today that will be the start of something big. I had talked about a 79 hp d60 but a different thing happened. We found an 89 one ton with a kp hp d60 in it. I know there are some differences there but we can get the vehicle for scrap prices. I am going to pull the axle and scrap the truck so I will have like 25 buck in the axle. LOL What ya think?

89 D60 will work, a bit more work, but plenty of howto's on Pirate on how to trim and get a lower link bracket welded on the driverside

Ten four on that, I have already been checking it out. I gotta get those hubs changed out or machined down as well.

I heard that! I crawled under and looked at that d70. That thing is big! I couldn't find the etching that tells which 70 it is so we will see when I pull it out.. I am still having a hard time not just running a 14 bolt ff. They are SO common and cheap.

D70 isn't much smaller and the 14 bolt is stronger, biggest thing with a 14 bolt is learn to drive lol.
Become aware where your rear pumkin is and it shouldn't cause to many hangups
