Done for the day. Housing and most brackets are off. Just fighting the pass spring perch. Trying not to gouge the tube too bad.

Why are you cutting it off? There is no reason too. Yes it is cast, but if you preheat it you can weld to it. Especially if you are connecting the truss to alot of other points across the axle... I welded mine to the cast and don't have a single hairline crack in it yet and I've beat on it.

Because you have to cut it off with this truss. It's how it installs.

what paint did you use? i have an 03 tj X in solar yellow as well and i want to do this too, any prepping?
